Gross

Sorry, had to update this post, a colleague of mine mentioned that photos of me in my bra and underwear may get me in trouble, particularily because I work for a school. So, I removed the week 1 photos and from now on, I'll be photographed in shorts and a sports bra. Hopefully that is not a big deal...

OK, I have never taken a photo of myself in my bra and underwear, basically for the reason you see above, it's gross! Look at the cellulite on my thighs, are you serious? Really, I have always felt fat, but in my head I tell myself I am in good shape. To look at these photos and see what I see, reality is setting in...

So, I am going dress shopping for the first time this weekend. I have been putting it off, I think you can understand why. I told myself I would be in shape and feel good by August, that obviously did not happen. Needless to say, I'm not psyched for the bridal appointment I have made.

Today I will be going to Weightwatchers and actually staying for the meeting instead of weighing in, leaving, and going out for a fattening dinner with my WW buddy (who will remain nameless). She actually doesn't have much to lose, but I am glad she's doing it so I have some support. Support is totally crucial for me. I also have a workout buddy, Picca, who is such a huge support system and inspiration for me. She is one of my best friends, and in incredible shape. She is the most reliable workout partner I have ever had, and I am grateful for her. OK, I'll post a weight update after my meeting tonight. I am thinking I probably gained. Although I did go to the gym yesterday AND this morning, so we'll see : )

  2. Trayyyyy! I love that you are doing this, especially if you are really excited about it. I still stand by what I said on your 30th birthday, you are my role model - and here again, you are showing how motivated you are to get where you want to be, something I really need to try out in life. I love you and you will always be beautiful! I hope you are excited for Saturday, you are going to look GORGEOUS in any dress you try on. Love you xoxo

  3. I am certainly no expert, but the key is staying on track with your exercise, and maintaining a clean diet. Let's face it, we all have our splurges and indulgences, but keep your goals in check! When you feel the temptation of reaching for a Nacho slathered in cheese, think about all the hard work you've put into your weight loss plan. I can tell you, the beginning is always the most challenging. Getting back into a workout routine and having the willpower to avoid eating certain things (or at least in moderation). But once you've developed a routine and start seeing results, you will be so motivated to keep going (that was my experience). I am SOO incredibly proud of you. And yes, Support is sooo important, and we are all here for you!

  4. Tracey! Good for you for doing this! This will be even a tiny bit of motivation to be posting about it and updating it for us. I agree with Mar, you will be (and are) beautiful no matter what size you are, but I can totally see just wanting to be more fit and FEEL better for your special day. Let me know if you need anything!! Can't wait for updates!
    Love, Jade

  6. Tracey,
First of all, I love you. You are an amazing person and I've always admired so many things about you. You are a determined woman and always have been (even if you don't think so) Anything you've ever put your mind to has become real, whether it was your career, your bags, your friendships, your relationships, your family. I have watched you for many years and have looked up to you. I'm so proud of you as a person. You are beautiful insdie and out. I always wished I had a behind like yours because sadly mine is sort of well, flat. You are going to be a beautiful bride and I can picture your curvy body in white turning heads as you walk by. You are inspiring to me Trace. I'm here for you on your journey to create a healthier you. Remember lots of green vegies and lots of water. An apple a day doesn't hurt either. love you....Amber

  8. Trace,
You can do whatever it is that you desire. Just think about back in the day when we studied for hours on end in the UNH library to pass those DAMN accounting tests. It wasn't fun, it wasn't interesting, and many people failed, but you were always determined to pass. It was a little sacrifice and maybe we missed a party or two (probably not two though) but you were not going to fail something or even get a C and so you didn't. Think about it like that. You could get a C and loose a pound or 2 or strive for the A or B which is really what you want. If this is an important goal for you than I have no doubt in my mind you will do it, because that is who you are. Remember, portion size is key. Small healthy meals with light snacks in between!!!!! And no matter what happens, you will be a BEAUTIFUL bride.

  9. Trace, Here's a quick and easy recipe for breakfast on the go! Thought I'd share, I love these!

    Oatmeal Pancakes
    1/4 cup of rolled oats
    3/4 cup of egg whites
    2 packets of splenda
    cinnamon
    (Optional: slices fruit)

Mix oatmeal and egg whites in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute.
Add Splenda, and cinnamon mix and pour in a small skillet. Allow to cook throughly until it is firm enough to flip.

I make these the night before and wrap them in tinfoil for the next day. I love these! Great recipie for an "eat clean" diet. xoxo Picca
